How it works
- Initially you will speak with one of our design consultants. During this call we will determine your individual requirements and usage for the space whether custom or predesigned.
- We then schedule a design consultation with our in-house Building Designer. Although the kits can be ordered ‘as-is’, they also can be customised to suit your needs and we can help guide you on work within any local Council limitations or guidelines, providing Floor Plans & Elevations to be utilised with a local drafting company.
- Once you approve the design, we then are ready to order. Depending on your location, further council approvals may be required. We don’t offer in-house council permit assistance, but we partner with multiple companies who can assist. In the event you have to seek an approval, the process is generally hassle free and we can help with any revisions to plans to meet their requirements.
- Once we have all approvals complete, we then are ready to order your kit. The manufacturing and delivery of the kit takes 4-8 weeks but may change slightly based on components required and your location. Our team willl be able to provide a more accurate estimate at this point.
- Shed Living will provide you with details for at least one of our 100+ installation and/or fit-off partners. You’ll need to book the installation and fit-off in. Some providers provide both services, sometimes you’ll need one for each.
- Once installation dates are confirmed, we will process the order of your kit.
- Shed Living will provide detailed engineering documentation and work with your installation partner with any questions they have to ensure a seamless installation.
- Once we have clarity on installation dates, delivered components will arrive at the installation address.
- Structures generally take 2-4 days for installation. Throughout this process, our team will be on-call to assist with any installation queries or challenges.
- Once the kit is erected, it’s ready for fit-off. This is where flooring, electrical, storage, fittings and more are installed. Either the installer or a seperate fit-off provider will handle this process as per your selection.
- Our spaces are highly flexible and whilst plans are provided for internal designs, you have flexibility in how you customise the space.
- Once the fit-off is completed, your space is ready for use! You may require some further landscaping or decking installation around the kit, but once again this comes down to your personal preference.
